NAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE!!!!
Happy New Year! I would like to say that 2012 is finally over and we are looking for 2013 to be an even better year. As I mentioned in previous blog entries I visited several churches with the intent to find the perfect church home to worship at. I went to some good ones and some that I just wasn't feeling. I went to the Mountain of the Lord (2 times), First Assembly's Sunday School, United Baptist, The Word Church (2 times) Pastor Hoye's Bible Study group and the transition of my old church New Beginnings to The Burning Bush.
To recap I was visiting these churches because my Pastor Chris Hale was relocating to Arizona and I thought that it would be a good time to find a new church that my family and I can start the new year at. After some hardcore negotiations my wife decided to stay with the remaining congregation and attend the Burning Bush. So my son and I started the search. Please refer to my first post and check out my reasons in full detail.
My wife told me that I can decide what we were going to do in order to bring in the new year. Sooooooooooo!!!! of course we ended up at the Word Church. I have never attended a New Years Eve event such as this. I mean they had rapping, singing, dance teams, solos, videos and the man himself Pastor Ra Vernon. He gave a great message about taking it to the next level in 2013. I truly enjoyed myself. It was better than any party I have ever been to on New Years Eve.
After going to all those churches and talking in to several people who I love and respect, I decided that I would attend The Word Church. I totally love the whole vibe of the church. However I did like the Mountain of the Lord and Pastor Norris.
I really was feeling Pastor Hoye's Bible Study Group and if he had a church I would attend his church. There is something about being part of the beginning of a new movement. Pastor Hoye is actually starting over and I feel that I can contribute to his church but he doesn't have a church. I will attend his Bible Study Group and hope that he starts a church. But in the mean time I will be at The Word Church....Word Em Up!!!
Stay FOcUseD....
